Most travel vaccines can be administered free of charge through the NHS. However, a few can only be obtained on a private prescription, the cost of which is paid to the Pharmacy by the patient. These include:
Anti Malarial; Hepatitis B; Japanese Encephalitis; Meningococcal; Rabies; Tick-Borne Encephalitis.
Administration of these vaccines also incurs a charge of £40 to the Practice, as well as the private prescription charge.
Unfortunately we are not authorised to administer the Yellow Fever vaccine. However, if this is indicated the Nurse will be able to advise you how to obtain it
